Charles Novak Saunders

On May 21, 2016 Charles Novak Saunders died peacefully.  Born in Traverse City Michigan, Charlie was a longtime resident of Baltimore. He loved retirement and was an avid private pilot, skier, ski trip leader, jazz music enthusiast, and biker. He was involved for many years with Osher Learning in Retirement at Towson University as a committee member and lecturer on Jazz topics. He was a long time member of University Baptist Church.  He is survived by his friend and loving partner of many years, Joan, and nieces Cheryl, Mary Ann, and Lisa and their families, as well as many friends. He will be missed for many reasons, but most certainly for his enthusiasm for life and his ready smile.

A private service and visitation for family and friends is being planned. Memorial donations in Charles Saunders' name can be made to Baltimore Chamber Jazz Society.
