Hedwig “Hedy” Everett, 89, of Baltimore, MD, passed peacefully at 7:31 P.M., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born August 26, 1927 in Rickholtz, Germany. Her brothers and sisters include: Ottilia, Lucy, Louis, Genevieve, Josephine, Mary, Hildegard, Agnes, and Rita.  She was preceded in death by her father Otto Ammann (born February 4,1884, died November 20,1954), and Mother Josepha Klotz (born in July 5, 1897, died in December 25, 1975).

She married the late Charles E. Everett Sr. when she was working in Cleveland, Ohio for Reliance Electric. Shortly afterward, the family moved to Baltimore responding to an offer for Charles to work for Martin Marietta.

Hedy was the beloved, and devoted mother of the late Leonard P. VanNess, Charles E. Everett, Jr., Clifford E. Everett, the late Christopher E. Everett, and Channing E. Everett. Loving sister of Ottilie - Luise - Alois - Genovevia - Josefine – (Hedwig,Hedy) - Maria - Hildegard - Agnes -Theresia and Rita. She is survived by her grandchildren Jennifer VanNess, Paul VanNess, Mark VanNess, Justin Everett, Christin Everett, Adrienne Everett, Christopher Everett Jr., and Channing Everett Jr.

As she was raising her five boys, Hedy also worked as a professional nursing aide in the Essex/Middle River, MD area. She worked at Riverview Nursing Home, Manor Care Nursing Home, and Ivy Hall over her 18-year career.

Hedy loved to garden.  She would plant tomatoes, geraniums, and petunias in red, white, and blue out front every summer.  She enjoyed driving around in her 2005 Red Mustang while listening to a blaring radio piping Bavarian music and yodeling. Hedy loved to travel with her loved ones, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.  Her most beloved traditions included:  enjoying Maryland crabs with her family and preparing German potato salad at family events. Her kind-hearted spirit always brought laughter and smiles to the family.
