I am not yet able to accept your passing my dear friend. You have been my friend for 40 years. I will miss our phone calls that could last for hours. We'd always end by saying "I love you". And I did. Rest with God until I see you again.

I worked with Eloise at Sheppard Pratt. I was a nurse and Eloise helped me learn many aspects of our computer system at the hospital. She never made you feel stupid, she taught with humor and patience.
An unusual coincidence is that "Mary" worked with my husband at the Baltimore City Police Department. Mary was his administrative assistant. My husbands job at the time was Director of planning and research in the mid 1970's. My husband orchestrated the purchase of the first word processors in the City of Baltimore for the Police Department for around $12,000. This processor was the best of its time and Mary pioneered its implementation. She was smart and worked like a beast for many hours sometimes into the evening with my husband who quickly climbed the ranks of the Department until his retirement. Mary was a bright, hard working, devoted employee who made many valuable contributions to the Department.

Eloise was a good soul and had a heck of a quick wit and sense of humor. I was shocked to hear of her sudden passing. May peace be with her husband, family and friends at this difficult time.

My heart breaks each time I think of your passing, Eloise. You gave so much time and effort to bring our families closer through your study of our family tree. And though I never met you here on earth, I rejoice in knowing someday I will meet you in Heaven. Sending much love and condolences to all those who knew and loved you.

Eloise, I miss you so, you just told me about our cousin Linda passing two weeks ago and you're now gone too. May you rest in the Right Are of Our Lord while Linda rests in His Left and may you spend eternity happily in the company of all our family who have gone before. I pray that your husband, son,, daughter-in-law and grandchildren receive some comfort from the knowledge you are with God in Heaven and smiling on us mortals with our petty problems. Love, Jimmy

Eloise isn't the kind of woman who would ever die.
She was always learning, teaching, researching, discovering, debating, and always kind and loving - and of course, fiercely honest.
No. Eloise is not the kind of would who should ever die so in my mind, I'll just keep her there in my thoughts.
