On Saturday, April 6, 2019, Christopher Donahoo, devoted husband and father of two, passed away at age 67. Chris was born to Eve and William Donahoo and spent most of his life in Maryland where he worked as a pawnbroker and entrepreneur for almost 50 years. He was married to Wendy Donahoo for over 40 years, and they raised two sons, Sean and Corey.
Chris rarely slowed down and put his heart into everything he did. He had a strong marriage, built a small business with his family, raised two successful children, and even found time for a modest farm. He loved the outdoors and wildlife conservation and was an avid hunter and shooter.
He spent most of his free time volunteering with his many friends at Baltimore County Game and Fish Protective Association, where he was a Hunter Education Instructor since 1987. He also enjoyed being involved in the many events put on by the Friends of the NRA and his local Masonic Lodge.
Chris is survived by his wife, two sons and their wives, six grandchildren, his sister and her husband, and two nieces. He was cremated and his ashes will remain with the family. A funeral service is not planned, but an Irish Wake (at least the eating, drinking, stories, and laughter portions) is scheduled for May 18th, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Baltimore County Game & Fish Protective Association 3400 Northwind Road Parkville, Maryland 21234 A casual gathering, in both attire and atmosphere, of family, friends. Please RSVP to Joe Mirabile 443-604-9119 or mybigblue92@yahoo.com so we may get a count for food and beverages.
Chris had a soft spot in his heart for dogs and was extremely proud of both of his son’s military service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Leashes of Valor in his honor (www.leashesofvalor.org/). Leashes of Valor is a non-profit that trains and provides Service Dogs to Veterans with PTSD and TBI.
