Although I didn't have a great deal of interaction with Mark during our many years of both working for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, I did play on the Corps softball team with Mark for many years. I remember that Mark very much enjoyed playing on the Corps softball team and was very competitive. I also got to play with Mark Jr. on the softball team. I recall that Mark was very proud of Mark Jr. and loved his grandchildren. My condolences to Mark Jr. and all of Mark's family members.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to say thank you for the kind words. I would like to hear your stories. I have included my email in this post so that you may respond to me directly. From the posts it seems he would speak highly of me and my kids, but we all know he had that tough exterior and I never really knew he did that.
Thank you,
Mark Jr.
p.s. I love you dad. Ill miss you alot. Ill take care of business. Ill take care of the kids. Ill still be your protector. Ill make you proud.

Condolences to Mark's family. We worked together at the Army Corps of Engineers. He was always on point supplying services and products that were needed to keep the Corps functional. Enjoyed our talks about Mark Jr. and the grandkids whom he loved with all his heart. May Mark's memory always be present in the hearts of all his love ones. Blessings!

So sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I worked with Mark @ the Corps. First met/got to work w/him during a disaster deployment. He recognized me and made sure I got whatever logistics my mission needed. He believed in doing the mission efficiently/correctly and would do whatever it took to get a task done. Back in the office, we continued to work well together and he always provided great support to our Emergency Mgt Office - with whatever was needed. Under the dry sense of humor and tough exterior - he was a softee. God Bless and may he may dancing on the other side. : )
