Born on February 25, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland, Alvina was the daughter of James and Christine Bruzdzinski. Her early years in Baltimore laid the foundation for a life marked by compassion, dedication, and deep-rooted values that she carried with her throughout her journey.
Alvina built a fulfilling professional life that spanned over three decades. She dedicated ten years of service working alongside Dr. Ivan Vasquez and later contributed twenty-two impactful years to the education sector between Conant High School and the District 211 administration building. Her commitment to her work reflected her strong sense of responsibility and care for those around her.
Beyond her career, Alvina embraced life with warmth and generosity. She found great joy in traveling during retirement with her beloved husband Bennett. Together, they explored new places and created cherished memories. Deeply involved in her church community, Alvina immersed herself in fellowship and service, forming lasting bonds through faith and shared purpose.

Whether through gatherings with friends or family outings, she brought people together with grace and kindness.
