Constance Ann Flagg

Constance Ann Flagg (nee Phillips) died peacefully with family at her side on June 11, 2025 at the age of 76.

Connie was born on December 15, 1948 in Alexandria, VA to Lonnie J. Phillips and Jean E. Phillips (nee Raper). She was a devoted sister to Richard Phillips, Elizabeth Tewey and L. Jackson Phillips (wife Lani). Connie shared children Thomas P. Flagg (wife Stacey), Molly Flagg Rollison (husband Mark), Ann C. Flagg, Jaime “JJ” Alvarez (wife Robyn) and Carlos Alvarez (deceased) with her former spouse (Robert S. Flagg) and companion (Jaime Alvarez). She was the dear Mom-Mom to Ian, Lauren, Aaron, Colin, Ethan, Sofia and Daniela. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was a second mother to many, including Louisa A. Troutner and Charles E. Wright (deceased) and countless students from more than 30 years as a teacher at Most Precious Blood and Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025at Bruzdzinski Funeral Home (1407 Old Eastern Ave, Essex, MD 21221). A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (1704 Old Eastern Ave, Essex, MD 21221) followed by a reception at Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School.

In lieu of flowers charitable donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Catholic Charities, the Jaime Gregorio Alvarez Memorial Scholarship at the Community College of Balt. County, the American Cancer Society, or your local food bank for those in need.
