Ethelene Shelton Gilbert

On January 12th, 2019 Ethelene Shelton Gilbert; Beloved wife of the late Thomas Conrad Gilbert, Sr.; Loving mother of Thomas Conrad Gilbert, Jr. and his wife Glenda and William J. Gilbert; Cherished grandmother of Thomas Alexander and Joshua Conrad; Dear sister of Sue Barker. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ms. Ethel was an active member for 62 years at Tabernacle Baptist Church. She retired as a telecommunications operator at East Point Medical Center and also as an Avon representative of Middle River.

A viewing will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church 121 Bennett Road Essex, MD 21221 on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 8 pm.

Further viewing will be held at Finch & Finch, INC. 809 Main Street Altavista, VA 24517 on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 pm. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at Highland Burial Park 3059 N. Main Street / Piney Forest Road Danville, VA on Friday, at 1 pm.
