Joan Ellen Howes

Joan Ellen Howes (nee Kulisiewicz), born December 1, 1947, passed away leaving a legacy of devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Edward Kulisiewicz; her mother, Marie Cassie Kulisiewicz; her sister, Carolyn Kulisiewicz; and her nephew, Branden Kulisiewicz.

Joan is survived by her two sons, Dwayne Edward Howes and Henry Joseph Howes. She was the cherished grandmother of Kassie Howes, Kameron Howes, and Kasey Howes, and the proud great-grandmother of Harley and Harper Howes.

She also leaves behind her brothers, Theodore Edward Kulisiewicz Jr. (Violet), George Kulisiewicz, Sr. (Mary), and Donald Kulisiewicz, Sr. Her memory will be honored by her nieces and nephews, Carolyn Bishop, Patty Kulisiewicz, Theodore Kulisiewicz III, Jennifer Kulisiewicz, George Kulisiewicz, Jr., and Donald Kulisiewicz, Jr., along with several cousins.

Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday January 22, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services on Thursday January 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Private cremation to follow.
