Regina Sue Conlan, was born October 20th 1945 in Hazzard Kentucky to James E and Cleda I Bowman. Survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles H. Conlan Jr, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Suzanne M. Taylor, born 1966 and Joseph E. Taylor Jr., Son, Charles E. Conlan, born 1972. Granddaughter and Grandson-in-Law Amanda T. Moore and Robert D. Moore. Granddaughter and Grandson-in-law Jasmine M. Watts and Daniel J Watts. Grandson, CJ Conlan. Great-granddaughter Ella K. Watts and unborn Baby Watts.
Sue was born in Kentucky, but was raised in Baltimore, after her father left the coal mines for a better life working for Bethlehem Steel. At a young age, not only did she joined the Girl Scouts and learn to dance, she also started playing the piano and singing on the radio with her father who was a Church of God Minister.
Her love of music lead her to sing with Patterson High School’s Clipper Choir as top Soprano. She also played and sang with several quartets, and a band. She married the love of her life, Charles Conlan Jr., January 30th 1965 and lived in Baltimore until a job transfer moved them to Mechanicsville Virginia where they spent the next 41 years.
When she wasn’t working as a loan officer for Truliant Family Federal Credit Union (1986-2008), she worked on her hobbies, crocheting, sewing, creating unique pieces of jewelry and ministering to the Women of Mercy House. She also loved shopping and visiting Bush Gardens, Kings Dominion and Ocean City Maryland. Every chance she had, she traveled from Virginia to Baltimore and Pennsylvania to visit family and friends.
Sue loved many things, but her greatest love was her family. There was nothing more important in life to her than them. She always made sure that everyone was taken care of and had everything that they needed or wanted. She was a warm, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother until the day she closed her beautiful eyes on March 20th, 2026 at 5 am. She will be in our hearts forevermore until we see her again on the other side
