Yvonne Lenor Hanson

Yvonne L. Tipton Hanson was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 27, 1940. She died at the age of 84 on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, near Baltimore, in Rosedale Maryland.

Yvonne lived a full life through many endeavors. She graduated High School and took many college courses to continue her education.

In 1958 she married Raymond C. Hanson and then had a beautiful daughter Elaine E. Hanson.

Yvonne worked as head of household for Myer Gaybis for about 45 years. She did some Cosmetology on the side, and when Yvonne's daughter graduated High School, Yvonne started working for Mr. Gaybis as an office manager at Globe Home Improvement. Along with her employment, she helped take care of Myer's daughter Ann. She was 14 years old. Yvonne was involved in Ann's life until Ann went off to college. But that relationship didn't end there. Yvonne and Ann were still in contact till her last days. While continuing to work for Mr. Gaybis, she ran for office as City or Town Council. Although it was a close race, her opponent won.

Yvonne was a big animal lover, donating to Animal Shelters, ASPCA, & Wildlife Conservation Society. She owned several Siamese & Persian cats, also several Maltese dogs.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her father John S. Tipton & mother Mae Marie Johnson Tipton. Also her brothers Charles Wm. Tipton, James E. Tipton & David W. Tipton. Sisters Darleen J. Russell McDaniel, Shirley A. Tipton, H. Wanda Tipton Falconer, Betty L. Tipton Mays and daughter Elaine E. Hanson.

Yvonne is survived by sisters Barbara A. Tipton Brooks, and Lynn Tipton Morris (Dennis), and several nieces Shirley Walsh (Gene), Veda Sparzak (Allen), Karen Michaels (Jeff), Sandra Hunt (Rick), Linda Liebersbach (Harold), Jeannie Clark (Keith) & a nephew Kenneth Brooks. Also survived by Ann Gaybis Byner (John) and several Great-nieces & Great-nephews.

A committal service and interment will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens 10201 Bird River Road, Middle River Maryland 21220 on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 2pm. Arrangements by Bruzdzinski Funeral Home, PA.
