On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Elizabeth “Betty” DeVaughn passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of 56 years of the late Charles Francis DeVaughn. Loving mother of Barbara Ward and her husband Jim, and Charles DeVaughn Jr. and his wife Teresa. Dear sister of Iva Thommen, Dorothy Mueller, Mildred Steipler, Marty Lutz, and the late Ruth Ulrich. Cherished grandmother of Jamie Keane, Michael DeVaughn, and JC Ward.

Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A.  1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at Route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 10 AM.  Interment to follow at Gardens of Faith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
