Eva House Obituary

Eva Amelia House

April 1, 1926 to July 29, 2020

Eva Amelia House passed away at home on July 29, 2020 at the age of 94.  She was born on April 1, 1926 to Adam and Catherine Pakaski in Dundalk, MD.  Eva was married to Samuel W. House for 70 years before Samuel's passing in 2017.  She was the Mother of two sons, Samuel Jr. and Richard.  Richard passed away in 2014 at the age of 65.  Eva is survived by her son Samuel Jr, Richard's widow Sheila, two grandsons, a great grandson and a great granddaughter, a nephew and a niece.  She loved her family and when she and her husband were younger, and Samuel was still driving, they visited their family members often.

Eva grew up on a farm on the Peninsula of Essex, MD and worked hard starting at an early age.  She also worked several manufacturing jobs while still helping on the family farm; Crown, Cork & Seal and Eastern Stainless are two of the companies.  She later contributed to the WWII effort by helping produce munitions for the Armed Forces.

She later married a WWII veteran and continued working, had two sons and, in 1954,  she secured a job with the Baltimore County Board of Education.  She retired from that career after more than 35 years and then took a part time job at a local supermarket for an additional 10 years.

Eva enjoyed spending time with her husband and the rest of her family and was thrilled when a daily number that she played came in and she won.  Eva was a wonderful and generous woman, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.  Rest in Peace Eva House.
