June 26, 1933 - June 6, 2022

Gloria Ann Knott left this earthly realm at the age of 88 on June 6, 2022 after a long battle with Dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Catherine Steck and William Andrew Hunter, her brother Donald Hunter, and her husband Joseph John Knott. Gloria was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 26, 1933. She attended Catholic school and worked as a file clerk prior to marrying Joseph in 1960. After the birth of her first child, she became a stay at home mom and raised her three daughters. Gloria loved to serve at her church and over the years she sang in church choirs, hosted vacation bible schools in her back yard, served in the bus ministry, and greeted at the doors of her church.  She also worked as a daycare provider in her home after her children began school, and always provided the children with a safe and happy environment. After residing in Chase, Maryland for over 30 years, she moved to a small farm in Street, Maryland with her husband and daughter Andrea to spend more time with her three grandchildren.  A few years after the death of her beloved husband Joe in 2008, she moved in to her daughter Diana’s home in Nottingham, Maryland where she spent the last seven years of her life. Her daughter Diana and her granddaughter Joelle became her primary caregivers and lovingly cared for her along with the assistance of her daughters Andrea and Laura.

Gloria is survived by her three daughters and their families. Daughter Andrea McDaniel & husband Loir, their 3 children, Joelle, Joshua, and Jared. Daughter Diana Rush and her companion Pat Doherty, and daughter Laura Borowski, husband Scott and their daughter Willow.

Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A.  1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at Route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral Service on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at 1:00 PM.  Interment Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.
