Ronald P. Travers of Dover, DE passed away October 4, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Johnson Travers; devoted father of Bruce Travers, Laurel Walker, Patrick Travers, Scott Johnson and Erik Johnson and the cherished grandfather of Johanna and Jette Walker. Ron was born in Essex, Maryland on October 26, 1956. He was the beloved son of Patricia C. Travers (nee Brown) and the late William A. Travers.
He graduated from Kenwood High School. He settled down and raised his family on the Eastern shore. He owned a carpet store “Sail Carpet” and sold cars before retiring in 2021. Shifflett, and Suzanne Battista and her husband Tony; his former wife Tina Travers; his nephews JR Shifflett, Sean Travers and Garrett Travers who enjoyed fishing expeditions with their uncle; close friends Dennis Felts and Kevin Blankenship; fond cousins, great friends and his faithful dog Marley.
A private cremation was held. Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A. at 1407 Old Eastern Ave, Essex at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Saturday October 21st, 2023 from 12pm to 1pm. A memorial Service will be held at 1pm.
