Dear Ted,
Let me start out by expressing our deepest Sympathy and Condolences to Billie, your daughters and family. Butch and I are very sorry for their loss. Ted you were truly a special and dear friend to Butch and myself. Forever having an up beat positive personality, we were very shocked to hear of your passing.
Butch grew up with you and I had the shear pleasure of meeting one terrific gentlemen at the young age of 17. The three of us had some crazy times back in the early days. The wild rides in your convertible around the Eastpoint Mall, almost on two wheels. I thought for sure we would hit the tower and roll the car. Then you joined the Air Force. You were stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. On one occasion we were able to bring you home with us.
What happy memories at the Cruisin' Car Show and the Endless Summer Car Show in Ocean City. Sitting on the deck with friends and family, we watched the hot rods and muscle cars race down the road. Driving in your convertible on the Broad Walk was an outstanding experience. We had some great thrills then as well.
God has called you home. No more pain. Rest in piece dear friend. But remember to cruise threw heaven quietly. I'm sure the views will be beautiful.
Butch and I will always keep you close to our hearts. Thank you for all the good times and memories. You will be missed!!! With much Respect and Love, Your Forever Friends, Butch and Carol

He was such a great guy. Not only to his family and friends . He did us some great work. He and Scott put in a new kitchen floor in our condo and more recently Teddy put up a light here at Oak Crest. He will surely be missed by all including his friends at the antique car shows. See you all at the service.

Love and prayers to the entire Merchel family. My heart truly aches for all of you at this time. Mr. Ted was truly a special man who always had so much to give those around him and will truly be missed by everyone. From his laughter that filled the room to his bourbon balls that would fill our stomachs... I am so deeply sorry..
